Full Description
DBAs and walkover surveys were carried out by CFA Archaeology Ltd in November 2002 and April 2003 in advance of a proposed wind farm development at Cambusmore Estate, near Bonar Bridge, Sutherland.
Site 28: The remains of a small rectangular enclosure lie 50m east of monument 25. The enclosure is poorly preserved and is presently defined only by low turf banks c.1m wide by 0.2m high with occasional medium sized boulders protruding from the banks. The enclosure measures roughly 11m ENE-WSW by 7m NNW-SSE. Possible entrances are represented by definite breaks in the bank in the NE and SW corners of the structure, but these are not necessarily original features. <1>
