Full Description
Remains of a building and enclosure near Castlecraig, Nigg. They are visible in SEPA LiDAR data, though ar indistinct. <1>
This building, which is attached to the SW side of an enclosure, is situated on sloping ground in semi-improved pasture about 140m SE of Castlecraig House. It is rectangular on plan and measures 6.4m from NNW to SSE by 3.4m transversely within a wall reduced to a grass-grown stony bank 1.7m thick and 0.2m high. There is an entrance midway along its ENE side. The enclosure is roughly circular on plan, measuring 19m in diameter within a grass-grown stony bank up to 3.1m thick and 0.3m high. There is an entrance gap (3.8m wide) on the ENE.
