Full Description
At least three buildings of a possible farmstead at Torr Bànn on the north side of the Allt an Torr Eun burn. They are visible in vertical aerial photographs, with the features showing most clearly in those taken in 2005 (included in the 'Millennium Map' series) and 2009. The westernmost building (at NGR 265119 877552) appears to have originally been 2 roomed, with a third room added later at its west end. In total it measures c.16m x 4m. The centre building (at NGR 265214 877498) was also two-roomed and measures c.10.5m x 5m though there is a suggestion of a central porch on what would have been its southern elevation. The easternmost building (at NGR 265246 877467) appears more or less square and measures c.5m x 5m. None of the buildings appear on any historic OS maps. <1>
