Full Description

An archaeological desktop and walkover survey were undertaken by Historic Assynt in 2015 in an area of proposed woodland expansion in Glencanisp, Lochinver, Sutherland.

Site 2: Druim Suardalain: FCS category C. A small enclosure appears on John Home's survey map. The ground has been improved with cultivation strips still visible in the centre, all within a turf and stone dyke with an extension to the north. Close by at NC 11957 21758 is a small area of possible former cultivation or more likely later drainage. <1>
