Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 1 March 1996

An environmental assessment was carried out in 2013 in support of a planning application for the erection of up to 5 turbines and associated works at Woodlands, Dingwall.

The remains of the deserted T-plan farm are recorded as measuring 20m north-east to south-west by 15m transversely. It is of dry-stone construction and stands within an enclosure. The farmstead (2a) is annotated as 'Bogandurie' and is shown on the Ordnance Survey 1st Edition map (1880) associated with a large irregular shaped field (2b) and a head-dyke (2c). The same farmstead and head-dyke are depicted on the Ordnance Survey 2nd Edition map (1907), but the irregular shaped field (2b) is not. This same layout is shown on the 2011 Ordnance Survey map. Field survey found the remains of the township situated on a low knoll; the farm building slightly cut into the hill slope:

2a: a rectangular, dry-stone walled building measuring 20m by 5m, with an extension 8m by 4m on the north-east side, defined by walls measuring 1m wide by 0.3m-0.5m high. The building is attached to an enclosure comprised of an alignment (0.6m wide 0.3-0.4m high) of large boulders. 2b: the area of the former fields is visible as a roughly defined area of semi-improved, rough pasture.
2c: the turf-covered remains of a head-dyke, preserved as a grass and reed covered bank measuring 1m across by 0.4m high with traces of an external ditch 1m wide by 0.2m deep.2d: the remains of a poorly preserved, dilapidated field bank, 0.8m-1m wide by 0.2m high and best defined at its southern end.2e: a tumbled, stony turf-covered bank, 1.5m wide by 0.3m-0.5m high, running along the edge of the trackway (5) <1>
