The National Archives of Scotland holds our national documents and preserves, promotes and presents them to the nation.

The National Library of Scotland is an information treasure trove of Scotland’s knowledge, history and culture, with books, manuscripts and maps covering every subject. The Digital Library provides online access to large amounts of digital material from the Library's collections, including many historic maps.

RCAHMS

Scottish Coastal Archaeology and the Problem of Erosion (SCAPE)

SCAPE is a charity that seeks to research, conserve and promote the archaeology of Scotland's coast. SCAPE is especially interested in remains that are threatened by coastal erosion.  SCAPE manages and undertakes a variety of projects including Coastal Zone Assessment Surveys and several excavations as well as running the Shorewatch project.
