Broadford Community Timeline

ARCH logoARCH Community Timeline courses provide an overview of local heritage, and then allow participants to research a site, building, feature, find, placename traditions or any other aspect of their local heritage which is of interest. In many cases, this results in new information, photographs or updated references for the HER. In addition, each course produces a local display and a binder with extra information.

Further information about the Community Timeline courses can be found on the ARCH website at www.archhighland.org.uk/community-timelines.asp.

The Broadford Community Timeline course delivered a highly varied collection of new records for the HER, 33 in total, with new information added to many more. This included details of a number of Royal Observer Corps posts, lime kilns, some tantalising information about finds of Viking ring money and several newly identified roundhouses.
