Cromarty Medieval Burgh Community Archaeology Project
The Cromarty Medieval Burgh Community Archaeology Project was developed after winter storms and high tides in 2012-2013 revealed a Medieval archaeology site next to the Cromarty Firth shoreline on the east side of the town. In April 2013, the results of a geophysical survey and a programme of test-trenching confirmed the shoreline evidence and provided baseline data of the field's archaeological potential.
See the project webpage for the results of the survey and excavations in 2013.
