Full Description
An early C19 house attached to an earlier (probably late C18) fisherman's cottage on Clachnaharry Road, Clachnaharry, Inverness. It was listed at Category B in 1976.
The original cottage was acquired by Caledonian Canal Commissioners prior to the construction of the canal in 1802 because of its strategic location and the two-storey house added. The category was changed from B to C and the statutory address and listed building record were updated by Historic Scotland in 2014 as part of the Scottish Canals estate review (2013-14). <1>
