Visited by OS (J S) 23 June 1966; Information from M Conner, propretor, Glen Spean Lodge Hotel.
Mr Smith (P Smith, Glen Spean Lodge Hotel), the present proprietor of the hotel, says that the tradition of a chapel at 'A' (NN 2987 8122) is well known locally. All that is visible at the site is the foundation of a small modern building partially obscured by a pile of rubbish. Some time ago, however, Smith dug here in an attempt to locate the chapel and he found partly underlying the present foundation an older foundation oriented E-W which may have been the chapel. There is no trace and no local knowledge of structures at the other two grid references-spots, 'B' and 'C'.
Visited by OS (J M) 10 September 1974.
