Description

A Conservation Area Character Appraisal for the original Inverness City Conservation Area was carried out in 2004. This recommended adding the Crown area to the City Conservation Area. In 2006 the original Inverness City Conservation Area was de-designated and Inverness (Crown) was designated as a new Conservation area with accompanying Article 4 Direction in its own right alongside a new Inverness (Riverside) Conservation Area (see DHG5856). The order was published in the Edinburgh Gazette on 03/02/2006. The Conservation Area shares most of its western boundary with the adjacent Inverness (Riverside) Conservation Area.
