Description

Stuart Farrell was commissioned by Halcrow Group Ltd on behalf of Scottish Water in July 2003 to undertake an archaeological watching brief at Geddes and Auldearn as part of the Urchany Water Mains Renewal Project, this work followed on the recommendations of a previously conducted desktop and walkover survey. Work in the centre of the village of Auldearn revealed no archaeological features or deposits only natural sands and gravels. Work close to the graveyard at Geddes revealed no archaeological features or deposits only natural sands and gravels. No recommendations for further work have been proposed.
