Technique(s)

Organisation

Stuart Farrell

Date

June 2011-Oct 2013

Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out by S Farrell for the Speyside Trust in regard to Scheduled Monument Consent for repairs and works required for drainage on the Corrieyairack Pass, an 18th century military road which is a Scheduled Monument and a Right-of-Way. Work was conducted between June 2011 and October 2013. Work revealed limited archaeological features to the area of the road; the road has seen extensive damage in parts due mostly to flooding and erosion. No recommendations for further archaeological work were proposed at the time, however regular inspections and maintenance on the road should be conducted. <1>
