Technique(s)

Organisation

Kirkdale Archaeology

Date

April 2004

Description

A DBA and walk over survey was carried out by Kirkdale Archaeology between March and April 2004 in advance of a proposed wind farm development at Cairn Duhie, Nairnshire. Two prehistoric hut circles, six clearance cairns, a well, and multiple post-medieval and modern features were identified during the survey. Mitigation measures were proposed to avoid all archaeological features as much as possible, especially the prehistoric features around the summit of Cairn Duhie. <1>
