Technique(s)

Organisation

Jacobs Babtie

Date

Jan 2005

Description

Jacobs Babtie was commissioned to carry out a desk-based assessment of the cultural heritage resource potentially affected by the construction of a water treatment works and associated sewer at Rosskeen on the N shore of the Cromarty Firth. The assessment undertaken between November 2004 and January 2005 identified 18 sites close to the development area. Several of these sites are close to the proposed waste water treatment works, indicating that there may be further archaeological sites and deposits in the footprint of the treatment works. <1>
