Description
A desk-based assessment was carried out by the AOC Archaeology Group in October 2008 as part of a condition on a planning application to erect a new Teco store, in order to identify sites of cultural heritage value that may have been impacted on through the development. Prehistoric, medieval and post-medieval activity was identified in the immediate vicinity, and a walk-over survey was carried out on October 9th 2007. Trial trenching was recommended to precede any ground-breaking works. <1>
