Description

A rapid archaeological assessment comprising a walkover survey of six areas on Eskadale Moor south of Kiltarlity was undrtaken by J Harden of Archaeological Services in 1997 ahead of a propsed Woodland Grant Scheme. The density of the vegetation, heather and naturally-regenerating tree-cover proved a problem across certain areas. A number of new archaeological sites were recorded and recommendations were made to ensure the protection of these within the proposed woodland. <1>
