EHG2855 - Trial trenching - west of Keoltag Drive, Reay

Technique(s)

Organisation

Catherine Dagg

Date

2007?

Description

Nine trial trenches were excavated within the area of a proposed housing development. The main priority was to ascertain whether the works excavations would penetrate to the depth of any old ground surfaces where archaeological features may survive. No archaeological deposits were identified and it appeared that any features elsewhere on the site would be at sufficient depth to be unaffected by the proposed ground-disturbing works. <1>
