Date

March 2009

Description

An archaeological watching brief was conducted in March 2009 to establish the nature and extent of any archaeology likely to be affected by the development of a new house site in Lamington, Scotsburn. This was done in order to fulfil the planning condition, reference 08/00465/FULRC. Desk-based background research was followed by an archaeological watching brief on the site. A possible pit or posthole was identified and scatters of ash and charcoal were noted. Whilst the findings suggest there is archaeological potential in this area, there are no proposals for any follow-up work in this case. <1>
