Description
A watching brief was conducted during ground-breaking work associated with the construction of a new house. Two possible buried ground surfaces were encountered. One immediately overlying the subsoil and under the peat, and another overlying the peat but under the windblown sand and possibly post-dating the Norse period. No archaeological features or deposits were noted and no finds recovered. <1>
