Description
An archaeological watching brief was conducted in April 2009 to establish the nature and extent of any archaeology likely to be affected by the development of a new house site at Dalnaclach, Scotsburn. This was done in order to fulfil a planning condition, and comply with the requirements of the Highland Council’s Archaeology Unit ( reference RC-07-600). Desk-based background research was followed by an archaeological watching brief on the site. A single feature was identified below the topsoil which resulted from recent rubbish burning. There are no proposals for any follow-up work in this case. <1>
