EHG3057 - Desk-based assessment and walkover survey, Allt na Teangaidh, Strollamus

Technique(s)

Organisation

Jacobs Engineering UK Ltd

Date

January 2009

Description

A desk-based assessment and walkover survey was conducted to assess the potential impact of a proposed access road. Twelve sites were identified within 100m of the proposed route. There is evidence that this area was occupied and exploited from as early as the Bronze Age period. The presence of several sites within the study area suggests there is good potential for archaeological remains to occur ranging from the Bronze Age to the post medieval periods. <1>
