Description

An archaeological evaluation by trial trenching was undertaken by Headland Archaeology in 2010 in advance of construction of a wildlife pond and associated works. Trenches were opened covering a 5% sample of the application area equating to 280 linear metres of trench approximately 2m wide. Six trenches were excavated but no archaeological features or deposits were identified, the only features being modern ceramic field drains. <1>
