EHG34 - Walkover Survey - Achnasheen
Technique(s)
Organisation
Wordsworth Archaeological Services
Date
April 2000
Description
Wordsworth Archaeological Services were asked to carry out a short notice archaeological survey of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme to the south of Achnasheen. This was in response to a request for a rapid archaeological survey by the Highland Council Archaeology Unit, as part of an Environmental Assessment of this area. Due to the short notice given for this survey, it was not possible to do a deskbound assessment of survey area prior to the field visit. However a subsequent examination was carried out at Highland Council's Sites & Monuments Record. The field survey was carried out by Jill Kendrick and Jonathon Wordsworth on the 9th April in fine sunny conditions. <1>
