Description
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AOC Archaeological Group in 2009-10 during geotechnical test-pitting ahead of the Novar II Windfarm near Evanton. The watching brief oversaw the opening of 151 testpits however these revealed neither features nor artefacts of archaeological significance. Similarly walkover surveys of the 16 proposed turbine bases did not lead to the discovery of any features of archaeological significance. <1>
