Description

Headland Archaeology Ltd was commissioned by Falck Renewables Ltd to carry out a programme of archaeological works in advance of and during construction of the extension to Kilbraur Wind Farm, Strath Brora, Highland. The work followed a specification approved by Highland Council Planning and Development Service (Archaeology Unit). A walk-over survey of the area of Turbine 7 and its access track was undertaken after tree felling had taken place, with the objective of identifying any previously unrecorded archaeological features. The ground comprised heavy scrub with frequent tree stumps. No features of archaeological significance were revealed during the survey. <1>
