A measured, theodolite, survey of the earthworks and structures of the abandoned Five Pennies settlement to the north of Cleadale on the Isle of Eigg was undertaken in the summer of 1989 by volunteers under the general direction of P Wade-Martins of the Norfolk Archaeology Service.
