EHG3527 - Watching brief, Old Pumphouse, Farr
Technique(s)
Organisation
Alba Archaeology Ltd
Date
May 2011
Description
A watching brief was conducted during the construction of a new house and garage with associated access and services. It was noted that a large portion of the site had been previously excavated, including most of the access road, half of the house plot and the area for the septic tank. The depth of excavation varied from 0.3m to 1m. The watching brief on works in the remaining areas revealed no archaeological features or deposits, the site of the new house lying in an area of improved pasture. <1> <2>
