Date

Description

An ongoing archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the construction of towers and temporary haul roads as part of the major development of the electricity substation and associated infrastruture at Knocknagael, Inverness. The stripping of topsoil for the one leg of tower 402AR situated outwith the substation field was observed, a 3m x 3m area. The topsoil was very stony here due to the remains of an old stone boundary dyke. No other features or finds of archaeological significance were observed. <1>
