Description

Thirteen trial trenches were excavated to the north and south of the farmstead at Knocknagael Farm in connection with proposed development. The evaluation area totalled around 7% of the available development site. Trenches 1 to 3 were sited to the north of the farmstead, trenches 4 to 7 to the south and trenches 8 to 13 down the steep slope to the south-east. The excavated revealed a stone-built drain and an isolated pit of unknown date and function. <1>
