Field observation was carried out by Øystein James Jansen of Bergen University in July 2012 to observe and inspect a possible quern stone quarry on the Rubha nam Brathairean headland, Staffin, Skye. After visiting the site, Jansen, assistant professor of geology at the University of bergen, confirmed that, in his opinion, this area was used as a quarry site. <1>
