Description
A desk-based assessment and walkover survey was undertaken by J G. Robertson in 2011 on behalf of Hydroplan UK in advance of two proposed hydro schemes at Liddesdale and Allt na Cloiche on the Laudale Estate. The survey area consisted of a narrow strip of ground, 50m either side of the proposed pipelines, an area 50m in diameter around the intakes and 100m in diameter around the powerhouse. Twenty-seven archaeological sites, comprising thirty-one individual monuments, were recorded. <1>
