Description

Archaeology North Ltd was commissioned by Highland Archaeology Services Ltd, acting on behalf of Glen Nevis Holidays, to undertake an archaeological evaluation of land at Glen Nevis Caravan Park, Lochaber, in 2012. The evaluation, which consisted of twelve machine-excavated trenches identified the area of the site as part of a flood plain filled with peat, extended down to more than 1.9m. Several land drains were encountered, as well as a possible area of hand cultivation but no further archaeological work was recommended. <1>
