Technique(s)

Organisation

Highland Archaeology Services Ltd

Date

Feb 2013

Description

A walkover survey was undertaken by Highland Archaeology Services in 2014 to inform plans for construction of a hydroelectric scheme along the Allt Garbh, Glen Affric. Almost the whole of the proposed development was found to be free from significant upstanding archaeological features. Two noted features, probably shielings, were small but well defined structures, located very close to the proposed intake. Micro-siting was recommended to avoid these. <1> The report was submitted as Appendix 11.1A in an Environmental Statement to support the planning application.
