EHG4302 - DBA and walkover survey - proposed hydro scheme, River Grudie, Kinlochewe
Technique(s)
Organisation
CFA Archaeology Ltd
Date
Aug 2011
Description
A desk based assessment and walkover survey, carried out in support of a planning application for a proposed hydroelectric scheme along the river Gurdie in Glen Guride, Kinlochewe, was undertaken by CFA Archaeology in August 2011. No existing or new sites were identified. Few sites are recorded in the wider area, most relating to post-medieval farmstead settlements. It was considered unlikely that any previously unrecorded archaeological remains would be encountered during construction of the hydro-electric scheme. The archaeological potential of the area of the scheme was considered to be negligible. <1>
