EHG4397 - DBA and walkover survey - proposed Beinn Mhor Wind Farm and access route
Technique(s)
Organisation
CFA Archaeology Ltd
Date
June 2013
Description
A DBA and walkover survey were carried out by CFA Archaeology in 2013 to identify sites within the proposed development application area for the Beinn Mhor Wind Farm and a 100m survey corridor centred along a proposed access route. Eight features of historic interest (all of post-medieval date) were identified within this area. Mitigation measures were proposed to prevent any direct effects to sites which may be affected during construction. <1> <2>
Additional information was provided by WPD Energy Ltd as the application changed to shorten the track by 1440m and to remove the 7th turbine from the layout to reduce the impact on the cultural heritage with the development area. <3>
