EHG4419 - DBA and walkover survey - Fassfern Hydro Scheme, Fassfern Estate, Loch Eil

A desk-based assessment and walkover survey were carried out by JG Robertson in 2012 with regards to proposed hydro-electric schemes on the Fassfern Estate, Loch Eil, Lochaber. In total, thirty-six archaeological sites were recorded. Most were associated with the agricultural landscape of either the pre-clearance townships or with the subsequent phase of sheep-farming, though a significant number resulted from C18 woodland management practices. The report was used to inform an environmental statement. <1>
