Date

Description

A DBA was carried out by Highland Archaeology Services in April 2007 and a subsequent walkover survey was carried out in May and in August 2008 in advance of a proposed flood prevention scheme to the River Ness, in Inverness, Highland. The proposed flood wall would be installed along a bank top alignment from Ness Islands to the Longman Industrial Area on the east bank. Many listed buildings are recorded within this area as well as multiple other important sites with high cultural significance. Mitigation measures to protect these sites were suggested. <1>
