EHG4505 - Desk based assessment and walkover survey - Loch Na Smeoraich Hydro Scheme
Technique(s)
Organisation
Highland Archaeology Services Ltd
Date
Nov 2011
Description
A DBA and walkover survey was carried out by Highland Archaeology Services in November 2011 to assess the possible cultural heritage impacts of a proposed hydro electric scheme at Loch na Smeoraich, Auchtertyre. The proposed pipeline route runs through rough pasture and moorland, and parts of the line lie close to markers indicating an existing water main. Nothing requiring archaeological mitigation was encountered. Features noted were all at a sufficient distance to avoid impact from the development. <1> <2>
