Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out on ground works associated with the construction of an access track, powerhouse, and ancillary structures for a run-of-river hydro-electric scheme at Allt Choire a’ Bhalachain, at the west end of Loch Garry, Highland. The site lay within an abandoned farmstead identified by previous desk-based and walkover survey, and the ground works removed the remnants of two dykes already damaged by earlier earthmoving, probably associated with forestry operations. These were recorded. No new archaeological features were found. <1>
