Description

The Conservation Plan for Inverewe House was commissioned in September 2006 by the Highlands and Islands Regional Office of the National Trust for Scotland, with the purpose of guiding future decisions on the conservation of Inverewe House and the surviving collections housed within it. The document will guide the Trust in considering how the property might be repaired, preserved, protected, adapted for compatible uses, interpreted, and made accessible; and, further, how the collections and memorabilia associated with the house and those who had gifted it to the Trust might be held securely and in appropriate conditions, displayed, and integrated with the activities of a site that attracts so many visitors.<1>
