An archaeological standing building survey were carried out ahead of planned construction of a new hydroelectric
scheme at Achnacarry. This followed recommendations made in a survey carried out in 2012 by
Highland Archaeology Services (EHG4522), in response to a planning condition and following discussion with the
Highland Council’s Historic Environment team. Ten features were noted during desk-based assessment and
ten features were noted during this survey.<1>
