Description

A walkover survey was carried out within the area of a small hydroelectric scheme along the Aberchalder Burn to the east of Loch Mhòr on the east side of Loch Ness. A total of 16 individual features were recorded including a farmstead, shieling huts, dykes, enclosures and an orthostat. The shielings and farmstead are likely to belong to the 18th century Abercalder township.<1>
