Description
An archaeological desk-based assessment and walkover survey were carried out in May 2015 on behalf of Proterra Energy in advance of a small hydroelectric scheme at Rigg, Skye. The work undertaken was to assess the nature and extent of any archaeology likely to be directly affected by the proposed development in order to inform recommendations for the protection and management of any existing sites. A total of 14 sites were identified in the immediate location in the walkover survey, related primarily to post-medieval activity. <1>
