Description

An archaeological walkover survey was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2015 of the proposed site for a hydro scheme at Uppat Estate, near Brora, Sutherland. The survey was undertaken on 6th July 2015. Eleven archaeological sites were recorded, including clearance cairns, a post-medieval structure, boundary dykes and a platform possibly relating to a previously recorded hut circle. Mitigation measures were recommended to ensure these sites would not be compromised during development. <1>
