Description
This report details the results of an archaeological walkover survey of the proposed site for a hydro scheme at Uppat Estate, near Brora, Sutherland. The survey was undertaken on 6th July 2015. 11 archaeological sites were recorded, including clearance cairns, a postmedieval structure, boundary dykes and a platform possibly relating to a previously recorded hut circle.
Mitigation measures have been recommended to ensure these sites are not compromised during development. <1>
