A monitored controlled topsoil strip was undertaken by Archaeology North in 2015 prior to construction of a new house 60m NW of the old Schoolhouse, Bonar Bridge. A possible ploughed-out clearance cairn and other features, possibly related to an earlier field system were recorded. It was recommended that there was no need for further archaeological work. <1>
