Description

A programme of geophysical survey followed by excavation (See EHG101) was carried out by the Centre for Field Archaeology in December 1998 on the site of a proposed development on the south-western slope of Dooket Hill Auldearn. The work was commissioned by the Highland Council and carried out in consultation with Highland Council Archaeology Service. Geophysical survey was conducted in the pasture field in the north part of the evaluation area. The rest of the area was unsuitable for survey. A combination of resistivity and gradiometry was used. <1>
