Technique(s)

Organisation

AOC Archaeology Group

Date

March 2017

Description

An archaeological evaluation was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2017 in advance of the construction of a new skate park in playing fields next to Ashton Road, Inverness. The evaluation was required in order to inform developers of the potential archaeology in the area. Fieldwork was carried out on 6th March 2017 where eight trenches were excavated. No significant archaeology was identified and most of the trenches showed evidence of modern disturbance, probably from the improvement of the ground to create playing fields. <1>
