Description
An archaeological walkover survey was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2017 over the route of a new 2m wide trail path between Glendoe and Loch Tarff. The survey was required due to the location of the development site within an area considered to have the potential for unrecorded historic environment features to be present. Six archaeological sites were recorded, including a group of cairns, structures, tracks and a dyke. Three sites would be affected by the proposed new footpath route and recommendations have been made to avoid the archaeological sites. <1>
