EHG5138 - Walkover Survey - Inverarish Burn and Mine Burn, Isle of Raasay

A desk-based assessment and archaeological survey were carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2017 along the route of a proposed micro-hydro scheme at Inverarish Burn and Mine Burn, near Inverarish, Isle of Raasay. The survey was required because the proposed pipeline route will run through the scheduled area of the Scheduled Monument site of Inverarish Ironstone Mine (SM 6594) The survey was undertaken in May 2017. Fourteen sites were recorded, eight of which were features of the Ironstone mine and the others were all turf and stone remains of dykes and structures. <1>
